About me…

I design gardens and graphics. I am also a writer and an illustrator.

I began my career working in the arts inside urban offices with little natural light, lots of desk time, and no plants. I loved my work for a good long while—until my art world salary could no longer pay the big city rent. So, I went searching for a way to both afford life AND pursue my vocation.

I became a harticulturalishist! (Obviously, I invented this profession. But not until after a long, hard, dirty slog through “Nature,” where I I learned about plants and soil and photosynthesis.) I also got a Green School Certificate through an amazing program via UMass, Amherst. Then, I decided to marry the two professional activities within my one whole person, which means I design and build and maintain gardens. I also design graphics and produce illustration. Sew it all together with my infinite supply of written words, and a harticulturalishist was born.

P.S. Linda has two brothers: Kevin and Brian.
